Repetition and recognition
Portrait collection products
Mieke Gerritzen designs limited edition silk scarves based on her collection of portraits. In 2011 she produced two new designs: one for KLM, using portraits from the period of impressionism, and one with a collection of portraits by old masters, including Rembrandt and his contemporaries. These are currently on sale in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
Gerritzen’s latest scarf features eighty small illustrations of portraits from the collection of the Musée d’Orsay in Paris. This scarf was produced in 2013 exclusively for Musée d’Orsay and can only be purchased at the museum in Paris. The scarf is a feast of recognition and presents a collection of portraits in a beautiful pattern of classic colours.
